WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR INVISALIGN DENTIST APPOINTMENT…
At your initial consultation, your treatment coordinator will explain to you what to expect at every stage of your Invisalign journey. During this first step, you will explain to one of our clinicians what you would like to change about your teeth. We will then take x-rays and create a 3D image of your desired smile. Once you have approved the final image of your future smile, we will take moulds of your mouth.
Your bespoke aligners will then be created within the Invisalign laboratory. Once we have received your clear braces, you will visit our practice in Leeds city centre to have them fitted.
Each clear aligner must be worn for 1-2 weeks before moving on to the next set. Our experienced team will continue to monitor your progress throughout your Invisalign journey, offering our support and guidance when it is necessary.
INVISALIGN AFTERCARE
If you’ve finished your Invisalign treatment and are left mesmerised by your brand-new smile, there are a few easy steps you need to take to keep your teeth straight for the rest of your life.
We recommend that you use an overnight retainer to prevent your teeth from slowly moving back to their original position. Our clinicians can advise on a retainer as part of your treatment plan.
You must also keep on top of your oral health at home. Brush your teeth twice a day using fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristled brush. We also recommend flossing and visiting our practice in Leeds twice a year, or every six months, for routine dental and hygienist appointments. Our Invisalign dentists will work with you to keep your smile straight and healthy.
